PAGID teams close to title

The 2009 racing season is in its final stretch and cars equipped with PAGID racing pads are leading in three top US championships.

1.) ALM

Frontrunner in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) is the Porsche factory team Flying Lizard. Their drivers Joerg Bergmeister and Patrick Long have 4 race wins under their belt with 2 more races to go.

But they are not the only ALMS GT2 team winning on Pagid pads. Corvette Racing with drivers Jan Magnussen and Johnny O’Connell scored already their first win in their only 3rd race after debuting the C6.R in August.

2.) Grand Am

PAGID’s technical partner teams are setting the pace in both of the Grand Am Rolex
Sports Car Series classes, the DP (Daytona prototype) class and GT class.

Three victories put the Gainsco Riley prototype with drivers Jon Fogarty and Alex Gurney ahead of the competition in the Daytona Prototype class.
Runner up Chip Ganassi Racing, partially also using PAGID race pads, can still take the lead in the two remaining races.
Brumos Racing with a Riley/Porsche prototype and on PAGID pads as well, won the 1st race of the Rolex series, the grueling Rolex 24 hour race in Daytona.

After four wins, Porsche team Farnbacher Racing with drivers Dirk Werner and Leh Keen are in a comfortable lead in the Rolex GT class.
Besides Farnbacher, Porsche team TRG won already the prestigious Rolex 24 hour race GT class in Daytona and Mazda team Speedsource the races in Laguna Seca and Watkins Glen, all with PAGID racing pads
.

3.) Grand Am / Koni Challenge

Due to the three Turner Motorsports victories BMW is leading in the manufacturer points.
PAGID pads also helped Porsche team TRG to win twice and the Porsche team Motorsports Technology Group to win once.
So 6 out of 9 Koni Challenge races have been won on PAGID pads.
